About REPAPER's Products
est. 2021

REPAPER products are produced from unwanted paper and materials that would have otherwise been disposed of at the owner's expense. REPAPER has identified many unneeded materials in our local area that could be recycled, reused, and made into something useful. Our business model focuses on reducing waste to create a premium journal for people in NZ. We are aware that human waste is taking an increasing toll on our environment. As the human population grows, the amount of waste we produce increases, which means that we must recycle to prevent further permanent damage to the environment.

Our product is a customisable, 24-page A5 journal made from 90% recycled materials. This includes reusing and repurposing locally-sourced old book covers from hospice shops, and scrap paper from our school, Hobsonville Point Secondary School so that we can reduce waste. Because paper waste greatly impacts the environment and contributes to climate change, we wanted to repurpose the large amounts of paper being thrown away at our school to create journals that are recycled, which acts as our unique selling point. Our business idea came from wanting to reuse the large amounts of paper being thrown away at our school by turning it into something new that can also be useful to our target market of students, since journals are an easy way to take notes. The paper and customised covers for our A5 journals will be individually hand-made, but our bindings will be outsourced to an external company. The paper will be unlined, so that customers have more freedom to use the journals as they see fit, such as for drawing. Our other selling point is that our journal covers will be customisable, so that customers can choose the colours and designs to match their preferences and express their unique personalities. When selling at a physical market, however, we will have journals with premade designs based on the most popular customisable options.
